Woombye Community Library Book Sale success

Woombye Library’s first book sale for 2020 was a huge success.

As the community grows the library is happy to welcome new members, including five who joined at the book sale.

The new library web page is now running nicely and has a form for new borrowers to fill out and email in to us. Our catalogue can be viewed online too.

The library has received a generous donation of $4000 from Friends of Maroochy Library. Thank you to Carol, Erica and Carole for visiting and making this presentation. This money will also be spent on new books.

“Our Balcony Book Sale on 20th and 21st November was a huge success, made so by the generosity and support of our Community,” said Library Convenor Chris Milloy.  “Library Volunteers worked tirelessly over the two days, a great team and I say a huge well done. We sold lots and lots of books, met some great people and signed up five new members.

“To Mikaela and Hannah from HOT 91.1 what a delightful duo.

“Thank you so much for visiting our book sale on the Friday morning your visit really brightened up our morning!”

The next Book Sale will be held in March. The library will close December 24 and reopen January 4.

New opening hours will be 9-12 & 2-5pm each day. Our Book Chat will continue on the second Wednesday of the month. Check our website or Facebook for more details.
